Summary
Neal Page, a workaholic ad man, is trying to get home for thanksgiving but finds himself in time loop of his plane being perpetually being rerouted to Wichita just before turkey day rolls around.
He discovers Del Griffith, a traveling salesman whom he'd ran into right before the whole thing started, is stuck as well. The two of them take it upon themselves to work together and figure out how to get back to linear time and life as they knew it, but will they still want the same things they did as when they started?

Rival radio host's Del Griffith and Neal Page get fired from their jobs after a particularly volatile argument. During their last days at the station one of their squabbles accidently ends up on the air, attracting the attention of a smaller radio station who offer them a morning show, mistakenly believing their bickering to be harmless banter. With little alternative options the two decide to maintain the image of being friends for the sake of their career.

Summary
Looking for a fresh start, Neal decides to uproot from New York to his hometown of Chicago right before Thanksgiving. Things don't go as planned, a storm stranding him and the other plane passengers in Wichita, amongst them a shower curtain salesman named Del claiming to be on his way how to his wife. Neal takes a shining to the man, and decides to help him get home.
aka the events of the movie if Neal didn't have a family or his life together, but also didn't treat Del like he was a piece of trash he couldn't wait to get rid of.
