Poseidon brushed his fingers against Sally’s bare shoulder, watching her furrow her brows as she groaned a complaint. He smiled as he tucked the waves of her dark hair away from her face. She was never a morning person.
“Wake,” he whispered as he pressed his lips to her ear. “I have calmed the shore for you. Apollo approaches on his chariot.”
Sally twisted away from him with a frown. He grinned.
Poseidon raised a hand, wriggling his fingers playfully, and a miniature rain cloud appeared above her face. The tiny storm started as soon as he started laughing.
“Wha?!” Sally bolted upright. She sat up in the bed, her tank top completely disheveled and now damp. Droplets slithered down her nose bridge and into the crook of her neck.
