Summary
After being kicked out by his cousin and forced into therapy under a mandated court order, nineteen year-old college student Eridan Ampora is already sick of this whole "life" thing.
Whereas Eridan views his biggest struggles as lacking the funds he once had to fuel his expensive lifestyle and his more-than-inconvenient mood swings, childhood best friend Karkat Vantas struggles to get Eridan to see how devoid of meaning his life truly is. Rather than Eridan seeing his forced therapy sessions as an opportunity for betterment, he instead views them as unnecessary attacks on his character, nearly pushing Karkat to his breaking point.
However, Eridan finds his view on the world slowly shifting after running into Sollux Captor during a shared class period at their local community college. Immediately, Eridan is obsessively fascinated by the person that Sollux is, eventually forcing him into analyzing his own sexuality, gender identity, and backwards views on society.

Karkat, Sollux, Terezi, Vriska, and Eridan find themselves in the middle of a rivalry between two street racing gangs, the Egberts vs the Striders.
Notes: The storyline of Need for Speed doesn't matter. I was just playing NFS Underground and had the inspiration for this so I tagged it under both fandoms lol.
The characters are in their twenties.
More characters will show up later and will be added to the tags when they show up or when I am positive that they will show up.
Davekat will happen eventually but Idk how long it will take.
Would recommend listening the the NFS Underground soundtrack while reading 'cause it makes it seem a little cooler than it is tbh. -

“But really, who the fuck assigns a group project right before a huge test?” you say, turning back to your schedule. The project was due on Tuesday, and the test for the same class was on Wednesday. And of course, that’s not it. There’s another test on Wednesday in a different class. Don’t the teachers fucking talk to each other? Can’t they avoid this shit? -
