There are so many different types of people in the hermitcraft server. In servers in general.
Hybrids of all types, even documented robots and aftermath of curses and magic.
There isn't bad discrimination in the world, not terribly so... But thats too optimistic saying there isnt any.However, there's rules to be followed.
Like no viruses. No illness, no mad cow disease type plague allowed without many many rules.

Where Mumbo is a vampire but vampirism is considered a illness not unlike rabies and has to kinndaaa hide it.

“I don’t know if I could escape again,” Grian confesses, and Mumbo says-
“What if someone could find you?”
“What?”
Grian pulls away, and finally, this is something Mumbo can do with his hands. He leans back to look at him, eyebrows furrowing, and Mumbo rests his palms on Grian’s arms, holding him in place. “If you’re taken,” he says. “Would it be comforting to know that someone could find you?”
Grian laughs, and it’s not a good one, either, but it’s measures better than the hysterical one he’d let out earlier. “Mumbo, what?” he asks again. “I- I appreciate it, I do, but compasses are server-wide. They can’t even handle the Nether.” It’s not quite snarked but said with just enough of an 'I thought you knew this' tone that at any other time, it would be a hit to Mumbo’s redstoning ego.
“No, not a compass,” he dismisses. “You know, marriage. A spouse could find you anywhere. The whole… soul-bond thing.”
Okay, so he’s a redstoner, not a scientist.
Or: Grian has an issue. Mumbo proposes an... unconventional solution. There's no possible way marrying one another could go wrong.

Summary
Mumbo sighs, head leaning back against the barely cool stone exterior of the farm, even though he knows very well it has erased all progress of becoming AFK.
He can't bring himself to mind, not yet, not with the heat of the nether brushing against his face and making his suit feel itchy, warm and tight. On the nether roof, it is marginally cooler than below, but any relief it offers is negated by the lack of wind.
Or: Mumbo tries to AFK. It doesn't go very well.
