You blink once before opening your mouth, ready to scream and call out for help before Orin pounces, slapping her hand in front of your mouth, shutting you up. The city of Baldur’s Gate has seen many things. The worst of crimes have been done here: including rapes, murders, thefts… There are lots of the criminals to choose from.
Bhaalists are one of the most prideful ones. They brag about their fanatical killing of the innocents, offering every sacrifice to their god with the utmost anointment.
They always prepare everything with the due care. Their target has to remain calm and unaware of what is waiting for them – like a lamb waiting for a slaughter. This is what their ideal prey looks like in their eyes.
But what if they become one instead? Will they even have a chance to react?
This story is a backstory for Orin the Red – one of the Dead Three’s Chosen.
Despite it being a part of the series “Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture”, it’s alright to read it at any point of the main story (as well as not to read the main story at all because it’s not needed).
