If God delights in innocence, then God had eaten well that winter. Hannibal’s ethics—curated, exacting, merciless—were not a rebellion against morality but against divine hypocrisy. He would be kinder than God by being honest in his cruelty. He would be truer than God by loving without disguise. -

Hannibal comes closer to Will. He is sweating, his pale face is wet with perspiration, making his hair stick to his temples. As he comes nearer, Hannibal can see that his long lashes are clamped together, even darker now from crying, there are dried up tear tracks on his cheeks which Hannibal longs to lick and taste the salt of his skin. He stops a step away from Will and Will sways closer, leaning his head on Hannibal’s thigh. He is scorching even through all the layers of clothing Hannibal has on. Hannibal forgets to breathe.

– What ? Will said, taken aback.

The silence that came right after his question was what gave it away. The fact that he’s going to hate this so called « solution » Alana found.
She looked away. For once, it was not Will avoiding eye contact.
“– Spill it. He finally said, a light annoyed tone in his voice.
– Okay, but you’ll have to let me talk all the way, no interruption, deal ?
– Yes deal. Oh my god, what did you came up with—
- My friend Hannibal has a room to spare.”
____Will isn't one to give up easily, especially since he had dealt with failure three years prior when he was forced to dropped out because of his inflaming brain.
Now, he's back and determined. No amount of illness could make him go back to the boatshop. No amount of tiredness could discourage his graduation.
Not even Hannibal Lecter could get in the way of him becoming a legist.
Unless he got too close.

Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham meet at a café after Will’s favorite place is unavailable. Hannibal is the owner of said café, Will is an overworked professor at the FBI. Innocent curiosity soon turns into obsession. Is this a match made in hell?

Summary
The special agent shifts in his bindings, mumbling something through his teeth.
“Sorry?”
“I am– was investigating a murder, a drowned corpse dumped…” Graham trails off as he realises what he is discussing and where.
“It’s alright. I assure you, I won’t get any more scared than I already am.” Hannibal says.
The other man sighs doubtfully and continues. “He kills them with a– an oxygen overdose in deep water, and then dumps the corpses somewhere it’s impossible to drown. Like a field, or a road.”
Hannibal notes the fact that the special agent is still speaking about the victims with detachment. He moves around in the ropes again, professionally tied by a hand that has used these same knots over and over again. It will be hard to stay unattached to the victims for long.
Will and Hannibal first meet when they are both kidnapped by the same serial killer. Neither take it as seriously as normal people would.
