On the Normandy-SR2, Captain John Shepard is called to the deck by the ship's commanding officer, his sister Jane, for his opinion about an anomaly appearing on EDI's scans. A ship, technologically anachronistic, yet unambiguously human in design, drifts through space aimlessly.
Two weeks after raiding the Collectors' base, a simple rescue mission for the Shepard twins and their crewmates is welcomed with open arms.

A catalogue of the twelve times Elster and Ariane hugged each other on an average day aboard the Penrose-512, including one extra time their hug meant a lot more.
