Tim had a plan. It was a very good plan, if he did say so himself. The odds of success were roughly 56.3%. Tim had risked more for less. So there he was, hanging from a rope tied firmly around one ankle, while the other leg was bent back limply. He could get out of this easily, just by sitting upwards and slicing the rope.
That wasn’t the plan, though.
He knocked the stool over. “Kon! A little help?”
Tim has a plan. As always. Sometimes, though, when sort of maybe crushing on a certain Superboy, it's best to go with your gut.

Summary
Lucy and Tim head back to Mid-Wilshire after receiving an alert that a missile is headed for Los Angeles. This is partial canon and partial creative license. It's my version of how that scene could have played out if Lucy and Tim were further along in their feelings when it happened.
Tim is post-Rachel here and Lucy is also single. They've been developing feelings for each other and are a bit more aware of them then they ever were during this episode.
This is angsty, angsty. Lucy is broken hearted that she never got to tell Tim how she felt about him and Tim is still struggling with these unexpected feelings for his rookie. Meanwhile, Wade sweeps in to push things along.

Summary
I wrote this before 5x1 aired and here we are on episode 5x6! It was inspired over the summer by a tiny little tweet post I wrote about Aaron saving Lucy in a karaoke bar from having to watch Ashley and Tim be lovey-dovey. It morphed into a little story about post UC Tim & Lucy & complicated feelings. At this point, I hadn't seen 5x1 and I was convinced Lucy would be the one pining for Tim...that was proven wrong obviously.
This is meant to be angsty, angsty, angsty.The song I'm quoting here and the title is "Neon Moon" by Brooks & Dunn...it's an old/classic country song but it is pretty much as heartbreaking as they come which is the mood I felt Lucy would be in this situation. (Go to Youtube and have a listen to the song to get you in the mood.)
Just FYI-This was my 2nd attempt ever at writing a fanfic and it's been sitting collecting dust on my laptop.

Summary
The break-up was pretty anticlimactic. There was no impassioned plea, no grand declaration of love, no fight. Lucy set forth her reasons; Chris nodded his head in understanding. Granted, there was a bit of point/counter-point discussion and pretty sure some Socratic method (he is a lawyer, after all), but, it was fine. Just... fine. Hell, Lucy's break-up with Nolan was much more dramatic and they still ended up good friends.
This is probably why Lucy did not see her tailspin coming.
