“Are you… mad at me?” Ness whispers, staring at Kaiser’s back, who’s stopped walking forward and is now just standing rigidly.
Ness freezes, too. He doesn’t dare to blink. He’s scared that, if he blinks, when he opens his eyes, Kaiser will be gone. As much as he likes being able to think about something other than the guy for two seconds, he doesn’t want Kaiser to leave. That would be much worse.
“I’m… still trying to figure that out,” Kaiser grits his teeth and replies.

After the PxG game, Kaiser’s been acting out of it around the team. After interacting with some of his teammates, Ness comes to the conclusion that it’s probably one hundred percent his fault.

Throw away your emotions, make a formula up from your logic. You don't need feelings to win. You can only feel once you achieved victory. A cold-blooded satisfaction of other's desperate faces.
But how can Kaiser accept whatever is happening right now by logic? His ultimate rival, who had just destroyed him, and his former midfielder, whom he threw away like nothing—showed up at his door again. Not as Isagi 'My Supreme Clown' Yoichi or Alexis 'My Kaiser' Ness. But as two unguarded children, curious eyes sparkling at him. None of those gazes reflect the Isagi or Ness whom he can easily act malice on.
They're children, somehow. They've turned into little children. Illogical.
