Summary
Geta should have announced himself then, and not moved along the walls like a malicious ghost spying on the living, but he did not have it in him. His tongue felt tied, and he had a curiosity to him too which was not entirely without its shadows of a grudge held. Caracalla had made a fool of him and it didn’t matter if he had known it would happen - here he was, playing with his toys, like Geta did not matter to him at all.
The least Geta deserved was to know what he had done it for, and he would never be quite as honest in his words as he would if Geta would simply see him as he was without knowing that his twin was there to witness it.

Summary
Ten years after Caracalla and Geta were dethroned and disappeared, Marcus Acacius and Lucilla are driven out of Rome into Barbaricum where they find that Geta is very much alive. He is a changed man and Acacius and Lucilla plot as to how they might use him to help Lucius reclaim control of Rome as they learn about him and adjust to living in a barbarian land. But Geta has different priorities and desires now.
Alternate universe, big canon divergence, wherein Geta, Acacius, and Lucilla survived, while Caracalla died. Lucius and Macrinus survived, too, and continue to fight for control of Rome.
Chapter 25 is up! Lucius tries to reconcil with Geta and reveals something to him, after which he then confronts the queen.
