Summary
Hero’s been through enough. RGB, being the absolute dolt that he is, puts her through one more thing that officially checks “the one thing I absolutely could not handle” off the list of things Hero probably could, but absolutely should not have to handle. RGB, dolt and all, goes about fixing it in a way that only a dolt would.
This was inspired by “The Property of May” prompts for days 13 and 14: Lonely and Pressure.

Hero had been cooped up in her room for at least three days.
He doesn’t want to intrude, so he’s spent his time pacing the floor, making miserable facsimilies of small-talk with Assok while they both pretend to not be nearly as worried as they are, and knocking on Hero’s door occasionally only to get a grumpy, muffled, “Go away,” in response.
Normally, he would oblige, but he isn’t sure how much longer he can pace the floor trying to come up with ways to get her to talk about what’s bothering her so severely.
The fireplace flickers with concern.
And it’s far too quiet.
