For any normal being, the road from such a remote village to the capital is a long one. But the passing of time is different for Natsumi. If others' perception of time is a straight line drawn in the sand, her perception would be…
The same, really, but her line is drawn on a beach where the waves keep on coming, and the line gets erased, again and again. Natsumi’s the poor sod who has to keep on drawing the same thing and futilely trying to shield what’s hers from the never-ending tide.
She held it together during the first couple resets, but after a while she can feel her humanity slipping away. Some people are blessed to live upwards of a hundred years, but no human is supposed to live thousands of years while retaining their sanity. Humans are taught to cherish every moment because unlike beings with long lifespans, they don’t have the time to take it easy for a couple hundred years and still have more than half of their life to learn and grow. So what can a human do when saddled with a power like hers?
How ironic that the title Saintess is granted to her, when all she can do is pray for salvation.
