Following the events of the first story, Redd and Tom manage to reconcile with each other. However, both soon realize they must face against the residents of the island, as Redd has to redeem himself due to his shady past choices and decisions. With the help of others, Redd is hopeful he can win Tom back and finally live his life with his one true love, and be at peace.

Looking up from his binder, Nook noted Isabelle was staring out the window again.
Well, “cleaning it”. Pretending to, at least. She’d been cleaning it a lot lately, once every week or so and just the one. For way too long.
The first couple times it happened he hadn’t taken any note of it beyond simply wondering if there was something wrong with that window. Around the third time she spent fifteen minutes blankly wiping it down in endless circles he decided that, perhaps, he should figure out what was going on.
