“Go a little faster,” Levon says, doesn’t even look at Robbie.
Robbie goes a little faster. He’s been meaning to test it out some. The thunder grows, and he feels the depth of it in his gut in the same way he feels the kick of Levon's drum, the edges of his vision pulling as the speed increases. His stomach tilts. Levon exhales slow, still and steady out of the corner of Robbie’s eye. He’s quiet a moment.
Then– “More.”
