Marin is still stuck on the planet Gaia. At least she isn't alone, her best-friend Danny still by her side. Marin & Danny Oakley, as they are known as in the town of Sanford. Have been trying to find their way, after the road trip from hell. That had taken their friends away. While trying to keep their heads down and survive. Trouble finds them in Sanford. Getting the two of them tangled up with the events of Final Fantasy VII: of Crisis Core. Where 'Marin Oakley' finds herself stuck in a situation others force upon her.
Her frustrating guide, who looked and sounded like Ardyn Izunia. Is no help while he is nowhere to be seen.Meanwhile, Marin's friends Jamie and Shawn, who were thought to be dead. Have find themselves back on Earth, alive and unhurt. Where they are forced to salvage their old, normal, lives. And figure out if there is anything they can do, for their friends still trapped on another world.

He makes an attempt at a sound effect that might be a building crumbling, or might be an approximation of radio static.
“Just you three livin’ here?” It is a small building - a matchbox of a home - which Rude doubts has more than a handful of rooms, inside.
“Nah, little brother ‘n two sisters, too.”
At that, Rude blinks.
He wouldn't have guessed that Reno had siblings at all. Let alone three.

Summary
The planet is dying. Cloud is the last man and human on Gaia. In a last attempt to save itself from destruction, the planet, using the lifestream, puts its remaining strength in sending Cloud’s consciousness to the past. He wakes up to find himself 8 years old and very much the boy he had physically been before the enhancements. Too bad that he had to be sent back in time only to be caught up in the middle of Shinra’s war with Wutai. Cloud destroys Jenova and attempts to dissuade the war from further going too far. Unfortunately, the war’s casualties are far too much for Shinra to consider surrendering anymore and the sides are racing against the clock to forge a different future.
