This is a new timeline where Roland is once again setting out to find the Tower. (What timeline, no one knows... the one with M/M relations probably lmao. Is it even gay when Walter is a demon? Anyway.) I’m changing their interactions into more slashy ones, perhaps with a different kind of end for the series. I don’t know how to write a western so I’m not even gonna try, be aware that the tone is all over the place. Obviously I’m stealing King’s work here, I don’t own anything. -

Summary
Jake’s Shine connects him to Walter, who in turn seeks out the child (initially to use for his machine to destroy the Tower, but gradually views Jake as his son). However, this doesn’t stop Walter’s plans, so when Jake finds out, he runs away to the only man who could stop Walter and save the Tower, Roland. But the Gunslinger is bitter and only seeks revenge against the Man in Black, leaving Jake to struggle with the pair’s complex relationship.
TL;DR Walter adopts Jake and somehow that’s Roland’s problem.
