Summary
Maxim is a privateer out of the port city of Sigil, captaining the ship Aegis. Unfortunately for him, it's rather difficult to hold down a crew when your single-minded drive and cold demeanor isolate you from most people. Relying on the loyalty of his fae-kin first mate and the motley skeleton crew he's able to assemble, he once more sets sail onto the Astral Seas in pursuit of the most lucrative bounty of all- the scourge that is the pirate crew of the Per Aspera.
At least, that's what he tells his handler back in Sigil. After all, who would fund a revenge mission to chase down a myth that no other person has survived to witness?

Kyana stood up on her knees and pressed her palm to Dani’s forehead. “No, you definitely do.”
“You’re just saying that to get me to stop working. I feel fine,” Dani said, pushing her hand away.
“Dani, you were just coughing and acting like you had a headache.”
“I feel fine,” Dani repeated unconvincingly. Another bout of coughs stopped her from continuing to fiddle with her device, this time choking her a bit as she wasn’t able to stop until she was out of breath.
“Dani….”
Dani huffed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Kyana, I just want to finish this one thing. I might be a little sick, but I need to do this. It’s important, okay?”
“More important than your own health?”
“Yes!”Dani is sick but won’t admit it, Kyana has to convince her to take it easy.

Kyana’s hand traced the lines of Dani’s back, following them down her legs and back up her arms, seeming intent on touching every part of her. Eventually the monk paused over her shoulder blade and broke the silence with a wistful sigh.
“I love you so many places,” she thought aloud, tracing shapes into Dani’s skin. “There isn’t enough time in the planescape for me to name them all, but, if you wanted me to, it would make me very happy to show you some my favorites.”
Dani’s breath fluttered and she forced herself to swallow.
