During the raging battle during my story Tragedy and Loss, Green takes red to an abandoned house to address his wounds. Red is fading fast though, and it looks like Green's inspiration is fading away as well. No one asked for this violence, but they were thrown into the midst of it.
This is the songfic that Tragedy and Loss is based off of. This was originally a ship request on wattpad and i decided to go for angst.

Summary
Long ago, when the gods roamed freely in the mortal worlds, they were accompanied by servants, their names are many. All of the servants had a fraction of their master’s power, but the most powerful were fourteen servants, who held the ability to have great influence and control of mortals. Seven of them, called the Virtuous, used these powers for good, influencing mortals to do good things and be kind, and seven of them, called the Heretics, took absolute control of mortals, using them for their own entertainment and desires. Eventually, the Heretics were discovered, and the Virtuous Servants waged war against the Heretics. Human and Pokemon alike fought for these powerful beings, always changing sides due to their masters’ absolute control of their mind, tearing down the world the gods had created and loved. With great agony, the gods sealed both leaders on both sides to separate dimensions, severely limiting their ability control mortals to little influence of mortals and the ability to wander to other worlds in spirit form to keep them happy.
Now a myth to explain how good and evil deeds can occur, it is considered as entertainment of the bored. But it doesn't seem so to the twelve people called the Dexholders...

i WILL talk about this fic until the end of time. i have this habit of referencing it in my own works, and it's a major inspiration to me as a romcom writer.
it's written from alternating first person POVs, which is a little jarring at first, but it's one of the rare times where i think it works well.
however, it hasn't updated since august 2012, and i haven't found any traces of the author on the internet since may 2013. this also means that the fic can read a little dated at times. despite this, it's still an amazing read.
