Summary
After yet another assassination attempt, Lena decides that she needs to hire someone else. She has went through head after head of security, whether it was firing for failing to protect her or had them arrested for betraying and trying to assassinate her. So she decides to go to the last place she ever thought she would ever go. But her new hires swears he will follow her orders to the letter. But he notices how Lena and Kara acts around each other (I mean who hasn't?) and he decides to play match maker while protecting Lena.
But there is more to Lena's new hire than meets the eye.

"Hi," the woman said, after turning around to look at them. "Yes, I wanted to than you, personally. You saved my life, I'm told." She gratefully smiled.
Sam noticed the woman's eyes were sparkling blue, she had a scar between them. It wasn't from the accident, it looked older, at least a few years. Her hair was brown, some locks were lighter than the rest, falling in soft curls, a little bellow her shoulders.
"I would introduce myself, but I've seem to have forgotten my name." The woman said, her smiling eyes now landing on Ruby. "And who you might be?"
OR,
Detective Sam Arias reported a hit and run on her way home. Days later, the person from the affected car, called her to thank her. To Sam's surprise, the woman was suffering from amnesia. It's even more surprising when Ruby, identified the woman, as her favorite author, Andrea Rojas.
Accidentally offering to take care of her, Sam needs to figure out who crashed into Andrea, why was she in their ghost town, and if she is still in danger.

One of the major failings of the recently ended Supergirl is the lack of an epic romance. Not just a viable romantic interest, which there absolutely was a pretty clear one, but the follow through to devote at least part of the story to why Superman has endured, his romance with Lois.
So who is the intended romance for Supergirl? Jimmy, Winn, Mon-El, Benjamin? Nope!
The relationship that was very well defined and framed as the most important in the series for Kara (save for Alex) is with Lena Luthor. Their break up in season five was an entire season long arc that affected both characters in major ways, their season six encounters were just barely removed from romantic, with tears and hugs and everything but kisses and emotional resolution. The finale left us shippers with nothing except a vague hope that maybe off screen it happened after the credits rolled.
Screw that.
I want an epic romance for Kara, and I can't really picture it with anyone but Lena. So this project is a ground up story. I'm going back to the beginning, and I don't mean Episode one of the series. I mean all the way back to Krypton, this is a full origin story, and yes it is also a romance.
