They've managed to escape the celebration, everyone's in the bunker to congratulate Cas on his successful cross to humanity like Yay! You didn't die and all your blood is inside your body! Both of them spent the whole evening socializing with everybody and making intense eye contact across the room before they finally excused themselves. While Cas slipped away, Dean tried to disengage with Becky while she talked about her new book deal. Eventually he just had to leave in the name of getting another drink and hope nobody came looking for him.

But darling? Darling is new.
The name is said oh so sweetly and strongly, put into the air around them that washes over Castiel’s skin in waves. The feeling washing over him feels like a warm hug, a reassuring affirmative that Rowena is okay.
