Mara took a breath to gather their thoughts before beginning where they started. This time lacking all of the same anxiety and confusion as before. This wasn’t praise or awe or frustration anymore, this was a threat. “You’re good, and you’re cool, and I’m jealous of you in some ways. But that’s not it.
