Summary
Hollyleaf is gone, leaving Jayfeather and Lionblaze to sort out their feelings without her, not just on her death and the prophecy, but on the lies of their parents. Perhaps, for one of them, a different perspective could aid in understanding what their role is in the world. Meanwhile Dovepaw, the true third cat in the prophecy, flounders as she tries to find out how to deal with the special powers that have always seemed natural to her and her boundless, and often unwelcome, empathy to those outside her borders. With Lionblaze and Jayfeather in no state to truly help her, she may need to work to help them first. And along the way, Dovepaw's sister Ivypaw seeks to understand why her sister has so much praise and focus in the clan when she's done no more than Ivypaw has, and the burning jealousy in her heart may just open a doorway for darkness to come in.

Summary
This is the start of the branching point for this AU series- kicking off with Jayfeather NOT leaving the ancients.
This particular story takes place in the gap between the Ancients' time and the Dawn of the Clans books. I've linked the family tree up between them based on real-life genetics, and most kits and pairings are for this purpose.
This story does not focus specifically on any one cat, but instead the group as a whole and the events in the years leading up to the Dawn of the Clans arc. I will add cats and pairings to the tags list as they appear in-story, even though technically I already know who's going to get with who.
