Kafka hooked a leg around the back of Blade’s thigh, drawing him closer. She was frowning when she said, “You’re playing dirty for such a noble general.”
“Hardly,” said Jing Yuan. “Not when he was mine first.”
“Well, he’s mine now,” Kafka purred.
The hand on Blade’s chest tightened. Jing Yuan’s fingers trailed down, splaying across the front and tugging at the buds until a soft sound escaped Blade’s mouth. Through the haze of sensations, Blade watched Kafka’s face twitch with displeasure, but it was gone in an instant, and then all he saw was Kafka reaching up to rest a hand on his cheek–almost tenderly–before she poked her thumb at the corner of his mouth.
Blade, obediently, let her in.
She pressed her thumb down, and then smiled when Blade’s tongue curled around it.
“See?” she said. “Mine.”
Jing Yuan captures Blade and brings him to the Seat of Divine Foresight where they find Kafka waiting for them.
