Even if he’s really that sick, his mom shouldn’t be so controlling. Still, this was an exciting opportunity. Stella had been hyping up Reese for the past two days, and he had seemed like a great guy during their first meeting. His art was cool—though admittedly spooky—and he was much warmer and more welcoming than most folks around town.
But it was awkward being the third—well, more like fourth—wheel in a tight-knit group of childhood friends.
