Trong số bọn họ có một người dần chiếm vị trí lãnh đạo đứng lên chống lại nó và bảo vệ cho cộng đồng con người. Nó dần quay sang "yêu thích" người này và tìm mọi cách để người này đau khổ hơn nữa. Khi người đó đó định tự tử thì nó ngăn lại, rồi biến người đó thành một khối thịt hình quả tim, gắn liền với nó (Nó là một hệ thống máy móc khổng lồ bao trùm khắp địa cầu). Nó bắt người đó phải bất tử cùng với nó. Cả thế giới này chỉ còn lại dòng chảy suy nghĩ của nó và người đó chảy vào trong nhau giữa im lặng của vũ trụ.
