He sighs, and then… Silence. Nothing follows. He gets no response, no movement from Stanley… Nothing. He can hear water dripping from the ceiling, but that’s really… All there is. Other than that, it’s empty; silent.
The Narrator began to bring his knees to his chest, sighing as he wrapped his arms around them. He leaned back against the wall, and, continuing to be quiet, he watched the water continue to drip from the ceiling. He thinks that it might’ve rained. He’s not too sure… He’s starting to close his eyes, though, and slowly, the sound of the water dripping lulls him to sleep.

Stanley wished he could let them know that he wasn’t in control of his actions in this run. He kept apologizing over and over in his thoughts despite knowing that the Narrator wouldn’t be able to hear him. At least the player listened to their ramblings fully before pushing the button again.
aka: the player feels bad about the Skip Button ending, so they decide to reset.

Well The Narrator and Stanley escaped. That was the easy part.. Now technically an illegal alien and with limited employment opportunities, Stanley must wait as the wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly to grant him true citizenship. Among his worries are the meager checks he must spend almost entirely on rent. Adjusting to the idea of being surrounded by people. Oh, and of course, The Narrator's verbal beratement when he comes home. Things are going to come to a head but perhaps if Stanley plays his cards right he might be able to fix the dam before it bursts!
