“Who are you?” Tommy growls, literally growls.
“Uh, Santa Claus?” the man’s eyes dart frantically, bouncing off the walls.
“Your nametag, letter for letter, says ‘Technoblade, Robber Number Seventeen’. I'm having a hard time believing you right now, Santa Claus.”
Tommy raises his eyebrows. ‘Santa Claus’ raises his higher. And they have a staring contest for god knows how long, his eyeballs might as well turn into floor soup, whatever that is.
or, Tommy's parents tend to forget to celebrate Christmas. But then, on a certain Christmas Eve, Santa Claus who is definitely not just some random robber arrives through his chimney a couple hours early.

Techno just wanted to rob someone's house. He didn't think he'd be coming home with a child deprived of parental affection.

Summary
The apple dropped to the ground, rolling a bit away. Once Techno noticed its peculiar color, however, he was quick to pick it up, examining it with a keen eye.
“It’s gold,” he breathed.
“Yeah!” Wilbur replied with excitement. “Let me throw another one at you!”
“No!” Techno protested, but it was too late. Wilbur had already chosen his next apple and it was already hurtling through the air, right at Techno’s chest. It was quite large for an apple, and while it was definitely golden, there were bits of white seen even though the object was flying quite quick.
When it made contact with Techno, the impact was enough to knock the eight year old over. He squeezed his eyes shut, the wind knocked out of his chest as the heavy apple weighed heavy on his chest. Wilbur was completely silent, devoid of laughter as he stared with his mouth open at them.
“Shit!” he said, “Techno, I don’t think that’s an apple!”

Or, Phil takes his kids Wilbur and Techno to the garden of the gods in order to steal a golden treasure. Instead they find this weird baby and upset a dragon.

“How about this,” he starts, stepping closer to the teens. He sees them closely now, the freckles that litter Techno’s face, the soft brown curls on Wilbur.
Oh, they’re precious. Thieves, but they’re absolutely precious.
“I will take you back to my home, and you can stay there. For as long as you like.” He suggests, and nearly laughs at how the twins’ eyes widen cartoonishly.

Summary
Stealing someone's wallet only to find a card asking to meet at an abandoned warehouse is definitely on the list of weirder things that have happened to Tommy. It would be even weirder to actually show up to the location, dangerous even. Unfortunately, Tommy has always been impulsive, and some strange meeting seems like a fun adventure for someone with nothing better to do.

Tommy has been locked in a tower since he was born, and while he had almost everything he had ever wanted, Tommy was never able to do one thing. fly and see the stars, free from the grip of the manipulative parental figure known as dream. That dream was never going to be completed, until Technoblade came along. The master thief stole the only reminder of the prince that was stolen, the Compass of stars, and needed a place to stay. When he meets Tommy for the first time and helps him escape, all seems right in the world. But with Dream hot on their tails, will the universe work in their favor? Or will something happen to our brave heroes?

Orphan thieves Techno and Wilbur get the opportunity of a lifetime when King Philza and Prince Tommy attempt to sneak out of the city for an important meeting and take less security with them than usual.
Robbing a king could have them set for life. Unfortunately, they didn’t heed the warnings of those before them and take heed that royals or not, they are very dangerous individuals to mess with.
And to make matters worse, King Philza and Prince Tommy find them… Amusing.
