Summary
Ten months after their adventures in Wonderland, Alice and Hatter are settling in comfortably in her world. That is until a strange man kidnaps Hatter in the middle of the night. To rescue him Alice is forced to return to Wonderland, but it may turn out that saving Hatter is only one of their problems: magic and time are going mad, and the forgotten line is resurfacing. Both boy and girl look to him with faces solemn and far too old. "That's sad," little Sis whispers, "Jack had to bash in daddy's and mommy's head so they wouldn't eat me."
The horror Black feels for the children can't be hidden, just to imaging Jack splattered with the black goo of an undead on him and his youngers sister not far behind traumatized with eyes too big for her face...it makes him shiver. This is one story he wishes had stayed within the confines of fiction.

Pitch Black is left weak and broken after the fight with the Guardians. He is angry and bitter at having Jack reject his offer and being bested by them once again. He plans to take back his power with the help of another spirit and fight to destroy them, but little does Pitch know he isn't the only one who is bitter and angry. There is a spirit who Pitch left to rot long long ago when she pleaded for his aid offering her power in return. This scorn will come back to haunt Pitch and the rest of the world as Fate is no longer happy being a servant of will. Fate will not listen to the rules any longer. She is done hurting and now, the world is in for a reckoning.
