Sarah lives in New York City with aspirations of becoming a playwright. She's drawn to a restaurant owned by Virginia Lewis and her husband Wolf. The three become fast friends, with Sarah being like an aunt to their son, telling him stories of a Labyrinth, brave friends, and a fierce Goblin King. When Virginia gets wished away after an argument with her son, the only way to recover her is by crossing through the mirrors and trekking across the land to find the Labyrinth beyond the 9 kingdoms.

Life moved on after Sarah returned to her room that fateful night. The memories never faded, the longing never went away, and so she turned to the only outlet that helped, writing. Becoming an author made sense, and seeing her friends come to life in the stories she wrote eased her aching heart. For Sarah, her life has been filled with the lingering fantasy of the world she turned down, though laced with the practical frustrations of the modern day. Though recently, her imagination has been running wild. Shadowy figures and half-heard snickers followed in her wake. Surely just her overactive imagination - until they aren't.
The kingdom of the Labyrinth was far from alone in the Underground, and as the years passed, Jareth finds things moving in a startling direction. With trouble brewing both inside and outside his kingdom, the Gobling King grows increasingly frustrated with a problem he's had for years now.
Half his magic is inaccessible to him.
Though he's been able to keep suspicion off of him for this long, whispers have slowly been building throughout the courts. Those who seek the power of the Labyrinth draw closer, and soon Jareth must face the woman who defeated him once more.
