Her eyes are drawn to them, tracing lines of Hive runes and thumbing through worn pages that bore the creases of his repetitive touch, indicating a particular specimen on a high-up shelf, flexing and tensing around his writing utensil as he scrawls down notes and recommended readings in his incomprehensible script. Most captivating of all is the way his thumb and middle finger connect to snap directly in front of her face, the startling sound beckoning her attention.

Death is an acquainted scent rather detestable, but there, the meat that rots and reeks of millennia lost in Darkness only brings arousal for the ones who live graced by the Light.
