It is one year after Voldemort was defeated. Invited back by Headmistress McGonagall to finish their education, the golden trio all decide to return to Hogwarts once again, despite all carrying varying opinions about having to return to school. However, while there is no longer a dark wizard looming over their school experience, Hermione finds a different evil looming about her, stemming from the one person she should feel most protected by—her boyfriend.

When did it turn to this? When did they get this far, that their love turned to hate? The passion was still there, sure, but they weren’t passionately in love. They seemed to have gone to the other end of that spectrum, they passionately despised one another. They were fighting again, like they always seemed to be these days.
It started out normal, they quietly worked around each other like every morning, Hermione was getting the coffee ready, Ron was reading the prophet, Unfortunately it turned sour quickly. Hermione sighed heavily, “Ron, could you hand me the cream?” No response. Her back was turned away from him so she didn’t see if he even tried to acknowledge her. It was unlikely. She slammed the pot down on the counter, already fed up. They’d been fighting all through the night, she accidentally fell asleep before he got home, and woke to him yelling at her for being so selfish. The fight lasted hours, she barely got two hours of sleep before she had to get up this morning.
She whipped around, throwing the mug at the wall. That got his attention. “Oi. What the hell Hermione.” He stood up from his stool, plopping the prophet on the table in a heap. She was fed up, and he was to blame, she turned grabbing another dish, throwing it against the wall. The pieces shattered, joining the mug on the floor. He started in on her, like he always did. They always seemed to be up in each other's face when they fought, like it got the point across or something.
She cut him off before he even got a word out. “I hate you. You are the most selfish person I have ever met. You never fucking listen and expect me to be perfect for you. Well fuck that and fuck you.” She could feel her hair sparking, her anger and frustration present as her chest heaved, but she stood her ground. She watched his face turn redder by the second. She hated this. Hated what they had become. When had it become this, was it gradual? Or was it like a light switch all at once?
He wasn’t her Ron anymore and she wasn’t his Hermione, when had they lost that? Why did they stay? Why couldn’t they just leave. Walk out of the kitchen and never turn back. Why did they allow themselves to fall into such loathing? Who started this descent? She didn’t even know anymore, it had been months since they even uttered the words I love you to one another. Why did they pull each other down into the water? Downing themselves in this hate. Was it a sense of pride keeping either of them from leaving. Or was it longing to get the relationship they once had back? She didn’t know, all she knew was that she stuck around enduring this for some reason, only Godric knows why.
Ron was fuming. He hated her, it had been a long time since he’d felt anything else towards her. So why do they both stay? “I’m glad we are on the same page, Hermione. Because I hate you just as much.” He yelled back at her, watching her nose flare as he said those words. When had they lost it? The friendship, the love, the everything.
He wondered why he stayed, was he just that full of himself? He didn’t want to give in first so he stayed, hoping she’d crack first and they could leave, move on with their lives? Or was it hope? Hope that maybe they could turn it around. Pinpoint what caused the rift, and repair it. That was unlikely but the thought passed through his mind anyway. He wasn’t even sure who changed first, who let go first. But now it didn’t even matter, they were stuck in this cycle. A cycle of never ending arguments, sparked by something stupid, bringing the fighting fire back to life at full force.
They both yelled and yelled, cutting each other off, egging each other on. They were drowning, and neither would let go. So they dragged the other down with them. Neither of them are able to admit they should just leave. That it would be better to let go and move on, but they stayed, cleaning up the pieces of broken glass, neither of them able to fix anything. Neither of them left the kitchen. They were just someone in the room. Neither is different from the other. But that also wouldn’t change.

But, once he had enough with Hermione then he was the one that broke up the relationship. It was broken on his terms and not hers. However, Hermione's best friends had come to the rescue and whisked her away to the newest night club that had opened on Diagon Alley, Felix Felicis. Hermione was warmly welcomed into the arms of Pansy Parkinson, who was willing to force her to forget everything about the pathetic ginger man.

This could possibly be my darkest Fan Fiction I ever attempt to write.
The slow burn is actually more directed at Hermione's tries to win Draco's heart.
Rejection burns..
Cheating, rape, and various violence will be part of this.
Voldemort is on the verge of losing.. however, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley have no real reason to help the Order.
Betrayal is also a varying undercurrent for this work.
I want to caution you all.. this is a Dark Dark Lumione..
My goal is to make you hate nearly every character - but for why - that is up to you.
No one is good or evil.
Morally grey is the world we live in.
That being said, the beginning chapter is going to be a little positive.. but it will be dark for a while..
