A letter. The Warrior of Darkness had delivered it to her. They had returned to the First, attending to some business in Amh Araeng that had yet to be resolved during their time here, and brought her a letter from their world. From the Exarch’s world. From the Exarch.
It frightened her so much that she retreated to the Ocular. Perhaps she had thought the seclusion would grant her some peace, but the too-big room only served to rile her anxiety more. It was too lonely here. It was a bad idea.
But at the same time, Lyna felt the closest to the Exarch when in the Ocular. Haunted in the best and worst way, then.
Lyna receives a letter from the Crystal Exarch after he left her realm.
