Summary
He flinches, silently cursing Vecna for all things including his mildly painful shoulder and it’s in this moment that Will quietly slides into the room, flopping next to Mike, his own features decorated with a fatigue that matches Mike’s own.
They smile at each other, sharing a kind of look that everyone had taken to in the past, now, twenty-four hours.
And it’s as if a greater power above has incredible timing, as Mike notices that Will’s delicate artist’s hands are also big and solid and probably perfect to relax a tender shoulder. Mike internally grins at the idea popping into his head.
Or: After defeating Vecna Mike sustains a painful shoulder, Will inevitably makes it all better.

Steve never had anyone growing up, when he needed someone to turn to when things got bad.
So now that he did have people around him that would do anything for him, why would things be different? He's gone through some of the hardest moments of his life alone. Why should things change. Why would he ask for help and seek comfort in others when those around him have it so much worse?
No matter how much he acted like he hated a certain metalheads help, he would never forget the kindness and patience Eddie gave him.

Except Billy looks nothing like himself, he's wasting away as Vecna's puppet, but Eddie doesn't care. He will do anything to save his love.

Crimson lightning broke through the clouds above him, the blue grey sky home to a roiling storm that only seemed to grown in ferocity. Steve was lying in his empty pool, overgrowth of slime and black ichor covered vines crawling up the sides of the pool like spindly fingers reaching out of a grave.
Steve tried to move, his arms and legs shifting in an attempt to get to standing, the confusion and terror settling into his gut as he realized that he was being held in place by the very tendrils that surrounded him. The stench of stagnant and muck filled water filled his nostrils, and the panic at being alone in Upside Down, completely restrained and covered in filth caused the younger boy open his mouth to scream.
The only thing to come from his throat were more vines.
Steve Harrington had hoped that he and his loved ones could continue on with their lives peacefully after Vecna was finally defeated. But a new threat stalks the streets of Hawkins, and nowhere is safe for the Party. As the bodies start to pile up, Steve and Eddie are forced to confront parts of themselves they would rather keep buried. But the past always comes back to bite.

The first thing Steve sees when they get back to the trailer is Dustin. Rather, he hears him before he really sees him, and the heart wrenching wails coming from the boy makes his heart almost stop in his chest. Steve rushes up to him, hand on his shoulder immediately.

He doesn’t have time to finish his sentence before Dustin turns to him, big tears running down his cheeks as he speaks, choking out the words between violent sobs.
“Eddie! It’s Eddie!”
Steve looks down. On the ground next to them is in fact Eddie Munson. He’s lying there, covered in so much blood that Steve almost doesn’t recognize him.
