This Sidlotte tale occurs far before those Regency ballrooms and gilded carriages we all know and love. A bit of a spoiler, this story has a very dark premise that will be revealed in the first several paragraphs (um, if you’ve read other stories from Butter and me…you already know how we do things.     For this prompt, I thought about a favourite scene between Charlotte and Lady Susan and how to revisit it post marriage, especially bearing in mind our heroine in S1 and her wide-eyed wonder/naivety. I see Lady Susan as providing a worldly perspective for her young friend,

    Yet again, once I started, it became apparent that this would need to be more than one chapter, so the next one will follow tomorrow.

    Day 18 – Music

    When I saw this prompt, my mind went in one direction (no, not the former pop groups!) and I considered whether I should actually write it. In the end, I decided it was my way of saying thank you for all the appreciation and encouragement there still is for a particular story, which has classical music at its centre and having just enjoyed listening to the current season of The Proms, it really inspired me (no promises though).

    The Royal Albert Hall is one of my favourite musical locations, although I don’t have a lot of comparison to be honest. When I was still able, I enjoyed performing there and more recently, my dancing daughter and I have attended fabulous ballet productions – particularly by English National Ballet.
