Summary
The waver in the Feline's voice made her turn her head around. Even on her usual worst days, she kept a cool, aloof attitude with a healthy dollop of lecturing. She had seen the woman face down countless threats with nary a reaction, her brilliance, skill, and wit earning respect in and out of her shadow. Rhodes Island would not be where it was today without her.
What she saw now was not that Kal'tsit. What she saw was a frightened, frazzled creature, trembling as a child would stand before the wrath of their parents.

Pulling away once again to catch her breath and calm the frantic beating of her heart, the Feline stared at him expectantly, letting every emotion flow out of her in a rapid torrent.
