“Huh?” Kaveh lets out a confused sound, and the sound of his quill against paper finally stops. “How peculiar of you. Have you finally taken an interest in my career, ‘o Great Scribe? Or is this just your yearly good deed coming from the bottom of your deep, black heart?”
“As if. You’re an idiot,” Al Haitham scoffs, rolling his eyes and scooting over, lowering himself further on Kaveh’s lap and angling his hips outwards, making sure to press his crotch flush against Kaveh’s. He tenses under him, body freezing, finally getting with the program. A shiver runs down Al Haitham’s spine. “Do you get it now? I’ll help you clear your mind.”
“Oh,” Kaveh lets out a deep breath, his grip around Al Haitham’s waist tightening. Goosebumps paint his skin in response, and it’s quite embarrassing, really, but Al Haitham can feel himself stirring in his underwear just from this. “Quite bold of you, don’t you think? I’m trying to work.”
Irritation crawls up his spine. “And I’m trying to get fucked. What’s more important?"
