“Not really. It’s not like either of us is together for anything except personal gain. I needed a mate to secure my rank, and you needed me so you could social climb and secure your sister's future.”
Taehyung just wanted a mate and a peaceful life. A tough soldier like Jungkook had seemed like the best option when the opportunity first arose. But after their mating, the alpha's brash nature and lack of romance left him unsatisfied.

“Do you want me,” Jungkook asked simply. Even with the way the omega acted around him, there was the smallest chance that he didn't want him.
"Well, yes,” Jimin said it was so hesitant but he could tell that deep down all he wanted to do was get closer. The alpha wasn't a stranger to Jimin's reactions to his touches or his happiness whilst they were together
"Then take me, I want you so much," Jungkook used his sweetest voice and reached out for the omega. His hands were directly at Jimin's sides but gave him the option to move away if he wanted to. He saw the exact moment the omega crumbled.
"Okay," it was quiet, but Jungkook still heard it. Jimin leaned a little towards him, no more than a few inches as he was still looking so hesitant. This was all so new to him
Being forced to live a loveless life as an outcast was not what a romantic like Jimin would be happy to live with, but he had accepted his fate long ago.
He didn't let it discourage him from showing kindness even when it was hardly reciprocated back. It was just a huge shock still when all of his good deeds were repaid back in the form of Jeon Jungkook.

“I don't think I will ever be able to believe that you loved me these past few months,” Jimin mumbled, feeling a little too affected by the most basic touches. The alphas hand was so warm and inviting, the rough texture adding a level of security that he never thought he could get. Squeezing his hand back was so tempting.
“And I will tell you every single time that I did, and I still do.” The younger couldn't handle the words, such affectionate words after so long being left without it made him shiver. It felt so unnatural but nothing Jungkook did indicate that he was lying.
Jungkook had thought that everything was fine until suddenly it wasn't. That was when he realised he needed to change.
Jimin had thought everything would be okay until it wasn't. That was when he decided to run.

“Don't talk to other alphas, ” Jungkook stated the minute he entered Taehyung's room with the bags. He had graciously carried them into the mansion for him, allowing the omega to stomp off to his nest.
“Why?” he said. He was getting irritated. “We aren’t dating, it's none of your concern” he threw the others' words right back.
Jungkook visibly flinched at the words thrown back at him. “Because you are pregnant and alphas are dangerous. Even with your scent blockers, you smell really good.”
“So I should stay away from you the most. You are a grand alpha. The most alpha an alpha can get.”
Impregnating Taehyung was the best thing to happen to Jungkook, too bad it took him months to realise it.
