Will didn’t know how Hannibal found space in the limited hours of the day to dedicate towards productivity on top of a full client-load, but he always made sure to prove his gratitude regardless. (Most effectively on his knees in worship.)"
Will Lecter-Graham and Hannibal Lecter-Graham have been married for quite some time, but even so, everyday spent in each other's company still feels blissfully fresh. Mostly, Will loves his wife a lot, and Hannibal loves his husband just as much (if not more fiercely), and it seems that nothing could truly come between these lovebirds. Not the BSCHI, and certainly not the mundanity of a 9 to 5.
This fic marks the first installment of housewife Hannibal’s domestic bliss!

When Hannibal had initially suggested the idea, it had been years prior and nothing more than an absent minded thought in one of their therapy sessions; probably, another ploy to gauge Will’s experience with such things and his innocence regarding similar substances. Will had been honest with Hannibal when he’d replied that, no, he hadn’t tried weed, he was a cop before working for the FBI, remember? He wouldn’t have been able to pass any screenings for fieldwork otherwise. And to add to that point, even if he could have tried it numerous times throughout his life in other instances, he’d had no desire to in general.
Until now, apperently.

A full rewrite of Heldris of Cornwall's 14th century poem, Le Roman de Silence, in which Silence is fully acknowledged as a trans man and pursues a relationship with King Evan of England.
For those unfamiliar with the obscure little story, after the time of King Arthur, to the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall is born a baby girl in an England in which women cannot inherit anything. To secure their family line, they disguise and raise their child as a boy, Silentius or Silence. He faces continual conflict within himself as the subject of debate between Nature and Nurture personified about the validity of his identity as a man, which is confronted as he grows up to become a knight in King Evan's court. Bearing his perilous secret, Silence attempts to negotiate court life and his growing feelings for his lord, and struggles with a great danger in Queen Eufeme, who becomes frantic to win him, or failing that, set on destroying him.

Summary
Will feels the old guilt stirring, ugly and thick. But under it, there’s something else. Because even now, looking at the blood drying on Hannibal’s mouth, at the way he’s still holding Will’s gaze with something so open it aches to see, Will feels that same instinct flare up again. That pull. He’s never been looked at like that before. Not by anyone human, at least.
