Rudo’s eyelids lifted ever so slightly, catching sight of a head of golden hair leaning down in front of him. Slowly, the hand in his hair trailed down to gently scratch behind his ear.
Rudo cooed, leaning heavily into the hand as it lulled him back down.
“‘on’t… d-don’t leave…” He whispered.
Another hand reached up to brush the bangs from his forehead. “I won’t, sweetheart. I won’t, ever.”
“Mm… Regto…”
The hand behind his ear slowed it’s scratching momentarily as silence filled the room. Just as his eyes slipped closed once more, he felt a pair of lips press down on his forehead.
