Light Yagami has played the role of the perfect student well, but it's become terribly boring. She uses a magical notebook, the death note, to try and fix the world, while an odd lady detective tries to catch her and a fledgling actor tries his best to earn her affection.
This is the updated version of Blue Moon, which I began and then abandoned in 2017...

Summary
For over three-hundred years the Riess family has reigned over Eldia, but for nearly as long they've been guarding a secret, a secret so disturbing their protectors, the Ackerman family, left their service permanently almost one-hundred years ago. When the family's youngest prince learns that his family's secret has become a little too real to be comfortable, he flees, taking the Reiss' edge over the other prominent families in Eldia with him.
An Ackerman and a Reiss become unlikely friends, yada yada yada. They don't screw each other in this one, but they might eventually :)

Tsukiko Yagami has spent her entire life quietly waiting for her family and community to recognize her potential, but its not until she picks up a "death note" that she finally has a chance to make a mark on the world. However, she soon finds out that the same people who tried to hold her back before have not changed, not to mention the additional irritating presence of L, a mysterious detective who has sworn to catch "Kira" at any cost. It's basically Death Note but with women because why not?

Summary
Oftentimes it is a mutation, or a rare form of a condition. A new kind of Cancer or a hairy heart or something like that. Less often it will be something totally unexpected like a new illness altogether, or a myth resurfaced. There is no hope for these people. They will live a lonely life of isolation and research, loved by so many if only for something terrifyingly out of anyone's control. These people are reduced to nothing but an outlet for such professionals to blood and other samples that progress science, but ultimately help nobody, not even the patient.
These people are reduced to nothing, and I am one of them.
