Summary
The outfit seemed like it was pulling at the seams and looked about ready to burst on his body. His hands were now encased in golden gauntlets that looked heavy yet felt as light as air to him.
His hair had also grown longer now reaching just beyond his back. The area around his chest also felt more… Plump. As if an extra layer of fat was added on to fill out the space in the dress. There was also a distinct lack of weight between his legs and after reaching a hand down to do a quick check, he was proven correct.
"What." He said coherently.
Mydei was just a normal college student trying to survive his classes. All he wanted in life was to graduate, become a successful culinary master, and maybe perhaps get together with his crush and live happily ever after.
However, in a world where an alien substance known as the Black Tide could corrupt him at any moment, he worries about the future. It's a good thing that Okhema had Magical Girl Twilight Knight to protect them and purify the black tide! It's too bad that there was only so much one person can do alone.
So, fate took things into its own hands and decided that Mydei would be a magical girl as well.

At least, that was what he said to Mydeimos when he had the small luxury of speaking to him momentarily in the river of souls he regularly clawed back up from. He wouldn’t be able to come back this time, they both knew that. Mydeimos would have nothing to come back to. Khaslana could afford himself one last, selfish luxury. One last time.
alternatively ; Khaslana visits Mydei one last time in the river of souls before Mydei disappears. Self hatred and mild body horror(?) is all that really ends up showing up before Mydei, in Khaslana's mind. Mydeimos sees his old companion and decides that his self loathing is something he should attempt to repair, if even briefly.

Mydei supposes he signed himself to it. He gives a short nod. Phainon fidgets with the bandage between his fingers.
“I wanted today to be special.” He pauses, his shoulders dropping slightly. “There’s someone I’ve wanted to ask out for a long time.”
Oh, by Nikador balls. Mydei was really going to have to sit here and listen to Phainon gush about his undying crush on Cyrene, wasn’t he? He clenches his fists inside the costume, a wave of discomfort washing over him.
Mydei is working part-time as a mascot at the recently opened Chimera Park. While wearing his Fig Stew costume, he unexpectedly befriends a cheerful teenager, who happens to be both his classmate and his long-time secret crush for over two years, Phainon.

Okhema Community Shelter, a popular stop for many prospective pet owners within Okhema City. It was the biggest of all the shelters, and held a larger variety of animals compared to others.
There was one dog in particular, a white Samoyed that was twice as big as a normal pup of the same breed, his tail sitting long and straight as opposed to curled against his back.
His size, though, was nothing compared to the blue eyes and unique sun pattern on the side of his neck covered by a collar that separated his fur from his top and bottom, a line of gold circling his chest.
That dog is named Phainon.
