Summary
Travelling down memory lane should have been a pleasant and nostalgic experience. Seeing his friends and the best moments of Caelus’ life should have felt like a wonderful dream. Instead, having to convince himself that he was not going insane made the experience far less pleasant.
Even though it had only been two minutes, to Caelus it felt like an eternity. A never-ending maze. Familiar voices urged him to stay. An inescapable dream.

Summary
Caelus’s vision swam slightly, blurring at the edges. His brain felt clouded, focused entirely on staying standing. He sustained a few injuries, he knew that much. Gold blood dripped slowly down from a shallow gash on his shoulder, but he didn’t feel it. He didn’t feel much of anything. The only thing that he could feel was a static. His muscles tingled and felt far away as if he had been disconnected from his body. The Stellaron in his chest thrumming faintly. There was a certain ringing in his ears as his head pounded.
It had been 4 days since he went back to the Express, since he had seen any of his family. Of course, he could never go that long without receiving a few texts from each member asking where he’s been. Faintly, that fact made him feel warm inside. He was cared about. But each message he’d just reply with some joke, excuse, or saying that he’d be back soon. Deflections and lies, mostly.

After Penacony, Caelus has had a hard time sleeping, feeling a lot of self-doubt, and has been avoiding the Express. Dan Heng eventually goes to check on him.
