Summary
Soulmates are incredibly rare in the wizarding world. Their bond is a romantic ideal, written about in fairy tales. The soulbond transcends marriage laws, and is more inherently powerful than any magic that could possibly be taught. It's too pure to be corrupted. Too perfect to be denied. Too bright and beautiful and good to be anything other than a miraculous blessing.
Harry Potter, who was raised without any knowledge of the wizarding world, learns all of this much too late.
Two stubborn boys turn away from each other to walk separate paths, but find that they keep on looking back.
A retelling of canon events and the years afterwards.

Summary
Nobody thought it would end like this.
The scene permits itself into Lyney’s mind like an infection. He’s unable to keep out the image of Father’s blood pooling beneath his feet, the stillness of her body as it lay lifeless before him.
Nobody, especially not Lyney, thought he would win.

Summary
Kaveh gulps before replying, “How… are… you…?” He spoke the words in the Teyvatian language.
In this era of Sumeru where Greater Lord Rukkhadevata was the one worshipped, all of the nations spoke in their own languages. It was only after Lesser Lord Kusanali became its new archon that the Teyvatian language was developed to be Teyvat’s universal language. Only those from the Modern world would understand Kaveh's words.
The Emperor suddenly sits up and turns his upper body towards Kaveh. Kaveh gulps, an incessant buzzing remains in his head.
The Emperor let out a small laugh but it was more like a relieved sigh. “I'm fine,” he answered in Teyvatian, “And you?”
or; Kaveh transmigrated in a book about transmigration, and through Lesser Lord Kusanali's mercy, he found himself with a companion in tow.
