Noijī enters the 3rd grade to find that there’s a new face at school, one that’s constantly hidden behind hands, a book, or really anything. With how much this kid is getting teased for being so shy and anxious, Noijī figures he should try to make friends with him. But his loud and energetic personality could run the risk of scaring Raian off for good.
Takes place in my AU where Flow and Shikaku are married and Paruko, Noijī, and Spyke (and Murch, though he doesn’t appear in this fic) are their adopted kids. Just roll with it, my entire canon revolves around this.

Summary
Raian misses the deep sea, and they would do anything to return there. However, this would soon come to a change after getting to know a certain classmate. Noiji is loud and intense: he embodies everything they dislike about the surface. And yet, the two would grow to become each other's closest friend. Little did they know, this bond would culminate into creating one of Inkopolis' chart-topping bands.
Here's my little origin story for the Chirpy Chips! Though, if anything, this is mostly centered around Noiji and Raian. And… it's also my first ever fic. Hope you'll enjoy it!

Please read this if you really like Raian and/or Raian/Noiji and/or Chirpy Chips. This is an amazing little slice of life fic with great characterization and very relatable moments in growing up, it may also leave you crying happy tears. It's honestly one of my most favorite fics on this website.

Summary
This year’s Squidmas concert goes a little off the rails when a snowstorm of massive proportions knocks the whole gig off the set list- it’s just not safe enough to crowd cod-knows how many people into a stadium in such conditions. So, no audience, but the performing bands are still in the building. Not that they have much choice in the matter, as they appear to be snowed in on all sides. But it’s comfortable enough in Starfish Mainstage's on-site living quarters to spend the night, so that they do, and comfortable it is- until the lights go out.
