Summary
Jimmy Hopkins' final year at Bullworth Academy isn't what he expected.
When Gary Smith re-enters the yearbook in order to graduate, Jimmy's senior year is expected to be ruined. It's clear that he doesn't want anything to do with Gary or anything regarding their incident back then— Gary probably would have seen it the same way.
But even with psychiatric treatment, it isn't enough to properly get Gary's head set straight. Unfortunately for Jimmy, the circumstances (And his own good-hearted nature) make him take up the task of helping him out. While he's not able to "fix him", Jimmy may be the medicine Gary actually needs.
A friend— Or perhaps, something more?

Olson was dreaming. Dreaming of him. Only, he didn’t know the dream was about Stebbins, not at first. Because it didn’t begin like most wet dreams, it started off as a nightmare.
Someone had broken into his house, swiftly stolen away from the pouring rain outside, but Olson didn’t see his face at first. Not until he was cornered, and a wooden stake was driven into his heart.
Being stabbed was a surprisingly intimate experience for Olson. The heart— an organ of love, which one would normally be hesitant to give away— penetrated by an object of violence.
If Hank Olson were a poet, he’d have a field day with that one.
Too bad Olson wasn’t a poet. But he was horny, which is why the dream didn’t stop there.

Summary
After the untimely and wholly suspicious death of a certain faux-accented prep, Earnest finds himself haunted by the memory of him.
And as metaphorically beautiful as that might sound, it's less poetic when taking into account that Earnest's life is now being shadowed by an actual plasma-and-energy phantom, a true specter, a genuine ghost.
Earnest's life previously consisted of Grottos and Gremlins, college placement tests, and the clumsy romancing of his new prep girlfriend. Now he's expected to deal with Tad's unfinished dead guy business. What's a simple man of science to do?OR
Tad Spencer led a miserable life. It stands to reason that he'd lead a miserable death as well. Still, it seems completely unfair that the only person in all of existence who can interact with him post-mortem is Earnest Jones of all people. Cue the sitcom laugh track, Tad's misery has once again been made a farce.

Two unlikely heroes team up to try to prevent a minor tragedy from becoming widespread devastation. Also there's some smooching, some guns, and a full scale beach episode.
