Summary
Ominis Gaunt wants nothing more than to push down the dangerous feelings brewing for his best friend, continue moving forward from the direction his past pushed him in, and treat 5th Year like any other year. Unfortunately, he is all too aware of the tension that follows the new fifth year around like a black cloud.
Solar Blackthorn arrives at Hogwarts five years too late, with a lot of pent up anger, and a vendetta against a student he doesn’t even know. He’s got one goal running circles in his head: make Gaunt’s life a living hell. He’ll do anything to anyone to make that happen.
Work title and all chapter titles are from the song “Don’t Let Me Go” by Tom Odell. I Highly recommend giving it a listen!

Perhaps it was for the best that Ominis hadn’t warned Sebastian where he was going. Everything would have been a thousand times worse if Sebastian had tried to interfere with his father’s plans — and, knowing Sebastian, he certainly would have. Summary
“It’s not too late to stop! One always regrets meddling with time,” Professor Hecat implored, but surely she should know that her words would have no effect on him. He still remembered how she stood there with the other professors, silent as they took Sebastian away to certain death.
An image of Sebastian flashed before him, the curiosity that once lit those determined brown eyes now a dull stare that gazed at the wall past the two of them as they stepped into the cell. He watched as Ominis knelt down and grasped his best friend’s hand for the last time, tears glistening at the corners of those pale eyes, gemstones amongst the milky blue galaxies.
“I already regret everything,” he muttered as he rotated the Time-Turner in his palm.
He learns that changing their past will be no easy task.

Summary

Lilith is dorky and naive, having no knowledge of the wizarding world besides basic magic. Ominis finds her cluelessness, especially for blood status, endearing and takes a liking to her.
