    Summary

Harry looks at him—nothing more, nothing less, just looks, for a moment, features unreadable yet distinctly soft, like he’s laying eyes on something worth cherishing. The kicker, really, is that Ron can recognize the look already; Harry’s looked at him like this before, many times, really, at breakfast or in class or at Hagrid’s, the Burrow, Hogsmeade—it’s how he looks at Ron, most of the time. Yet Ron isn’t sure he’s ever seen it quite this close, close enough to really take in the depth of it and the way it’s like Harry’s green eyes fill to the brim with affection. No one—and Ron means no one, not his mother, his father, his siblings, nobody—has ever looked at him like this before.

Only Harry has. And Ron’s only just now realizing it.

First of all, this is incredibly well written. The author's language is vivid, emotional, and easy to read. Ron and Harry both have their development influenced by one another. Ron is shown as a strategist and a very smart person. His shortcomings are not forgotten, he makes mistakes, but you still love him. Harry is shown to be more human(?). He is still a force of determination able to break through and survive no matter what, but we see how difficult it is. As much as Ron is a support for Harry, Harry is a strength for Ron, pulling him up, pulling him to be better.

If I start talking about this work, I will run out of space. So in short:
This work has hurt me so, so much. A Western, with the main character being a good man in a not good situation. Only the situation keeps getting worse, and this is more of a tragedy than anything else.

    Summary

Orochimaru-sama comes to the Academy and asks for the student with the best calligraphy.

“Only the girls learn it,” Iruka-sensei says, and Orochimaru-sama clicks his tongue like he disapproves. “But we have several capable young kunoichi.”

Sakura has the highest marks in calligraphy, higher even than Ino-chan. She has good marks in their painting class, too, and any class that involves holding a pencil. She tells Orochimaru-sama this proudly.

“How wonderful,” he says, and she’s giddy with praise from the legendary war hero.

He wants to see her write, so she does. They go to Iruka-sensei’s desk and both her teacher and Orochimaru-sama watch her. Orochimaru-sama asks her to write smaller and smaller. She does. He praises her.

“Yes,” he says, “I think you’ll do.”

The corruption of Sakuras morals is just perfect. Honestly, I would have read more about her and Orochimaru as her sensei. There are some very disturbing elements here, but the work is simply beautiful.
