Summary
Tobey is sixteen when he has his first kiss.
He’s curled up on his mother’s couch with his beloved Becky Botsford wrapped in his arms, happily leaning into him as, for the fourth time, they watch a rerun of a true crime series Becky has managed to hyper-fixate on.
And then, a simple question is asked: “How come you’ve never kissed me?”

Summary
Tobey has never had a problem juggling the two halves of his life, villainy and school; nor has he ever set his heart on anyone besides his darling WordGirl. That is, until he begins to take notice of a certain academic rival of his from class, and hatred quickly leads to something completely different. But what will become of his infatuation when it’s split between two entirely different people, from entirely different parts of his life?
—-
Tobey only hums, attempting to “be cool” as he straightens the collar of his sweater. “I’d prefer to think of this as more of an outing than a rampage. Why? Getting tired of me already, my dear WordGirl?”
“Don’t call me that,” she responds flatly before shaking her head with a long-winded sigh. “I miss when you were ten and actually at least attempted to hide your infatuation with me.”

Summary
Phantom thieves don’t typically get a good rep. The media says they steal from the rich and pose a threat to society. The public thinks they care only about themselves. But Tobey knows those simple-minded fools haven’t even scratched the surface of what being a phantom thief truly means. Or, maybe, he’s the real fool, especially when he puts himself and his felonious secret in danger all for an impetuous adoration with a certain detective.
--
“Your days of crime are over, Icaroid,” the girl declares, her hands reaching towards him. “I won’t let you get away.”
Tobey takes a breath, ducking as she makes a grab for him. “Woah!” he says, taking a step back. “Have you no manners? I’d at least like a name before going home with you.”
She scoffs at his joke, yet still answers. “It’s Botsford. Detective Botsford."

Summary
“Everything felt so natural before—even things like my voice that were an act! Ever since I decided to stop being a villain, nothing has felt natural. Everything is difficult, and my 'good' behavior always feels… forced. How can any of that be real?” -:- Oneshot; Post-Series

Summary
“What is that you’re attempting to do, Wordgirl?” Tobey inquired, a teasing smirk on his face.
“Humor me,” she grumbled.
He perched himself against the thumb of his robot’s lowered hand. “An elaborate mating dance?”
“Ha.”
“Semaphore, but without the flags?”
“Try again.”
“A girl trying to skip over the cracks in the sidewalk?”
“All incorrect,” she deadpanned. “You’ll never guess – I'm dancing.”
“Oh!” Tobey cried out in mock delight. “So that’s what that was.”
Or: Tobey tries to teach Wordgirl how to dance - with somewhat mixed results.
