“Children?” Robert echoes. “Have you notified the parents?”
“Yeah…” Her nose wrinkles into a worried expression he’s never seen on her face before. It’s as if she’s trying to find a way to tactfully work around what she’s going to say next, which Robert takes as a bad sign for worse news.
Oh, yeah. Now, he’s genuinely worried.
“...And?”
“Well…” Mandy says slowly. She hesitates, as if picking several different ways to phrase the unthinkable before settling with: “They, uh. They named you.”

Summary
Jack Frost never thought he'd be where he is. He was used to being "snowballs and funtimes" after all. Though, a Guardian of Childhood was pretty neat if he says so himself.
But being a Guardian doesn't erase the 300 years he spent alone and unseen.
Those 300 years alone left him touch-starved, and very uncomfortable with the notion of emotion

Summary
Almost as long as there have been humans and dragons there have been those who can wield Magick. A gift from the Gods that came with Soulmarks that named a person for you. For a time man and dragon lived in harmony where those who bonded with them. Then they weren't no one in living memory knew what changed or why. Magick became a taboo and it was a death sentence to use it. Dragons were hunted like beasts and no longer trusted the humans they once called partners.
Berk in the last few generations have began to reject many things that were once called gifts from the gods. Stoick refuses to accept soulmates as anything than a curse and he passes down the views to his people. While he doesn't allow the use of Magick within the tribe he does use it to name heirs. To be a potential future Chief, one must be able to use High Magick. When Hiccup goes for Dragon Training he is given the test. He cannot use High Magick. It accelerates his plans to leave. Otherwise he knows he won't survive.

Years before dragons reshape Berk, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III discovers a hidden cove with ancient altars to forgotten gods.
Desperate for somewhere he belongs, he begins leaving offerings.
Something answers.
A year later, he wakes to a strange screen:

It’s difficult being a single father, but Nick does as best he can at raising his little girl, Kim, in a house on his own. With how much he works, he’s often worried about her feeling lonely- but thankfully loneliness doesn’t seem to be much of a problem for her with how many imaginary friends she seems to have. Nick has overheard her reading stories with her teddy bear, giggling and laughing as she entertains herself with a board game, and playing pirate with the ship in a bottle. Most children probably wouldn’t be found trying to strike up a conversation with something like a vacuum, microwave, or the hangers in their closet- but Nick just figures that his daughter is on the more imaginative side. As long as she’s happy and not getting hurt, what’s the harm? In any case, he loves hearing about the antics that Kim and her imaginary friends get up to. Though those friends may not be as “imaginary” as Nick believes them to be…
