    For the first time in her life, someone sees her as she really is, but will she be able to protect this fragile connection from all the forces that would see them separated – and the darkness slowly spreading over the lands of Middle-earth once more?
    When everything goes quiet, will her song sound loud enough to bring hope to the hopeless, the lost but never mourned and heal the land so it may once more join her music?

    Adar has declared himself King of Mordor. And a King is always in need of a herald. Unfortunately, he has his eyes set on one herald in particular. There is nothing that would make Gil-Galad part with his herald, except that Adar has promised to recall his children to Mordor and trouble the peoples of Middle-Earth no longer. He will also lend his army in the fight against Sauron.

    And though Elrond feels that he would sooner die, it is painfully clear what the lesser of the two evils are, and the whole of Middle-Earth is at stake. Besides, they only need a few months in order to defeat Sauron, once they have done that then he will be able to return to Lindon for good. This is just a temporary sacrifice. And his dear friend and brother Prince Durin will not be far away.

    AU that takes place just after Season 2 Episode 1, when Elrond is working at the boathouse, but just before Galadriel goes to talk to him about joining the mission to Eregion.
